Today at lunch time I found two White-eyed Vireos, both of which were singing up a storm! These are both locations I had these birds last year as well. [Main trail that heads to Blackhawk Springs from the parking lot right (1) under the powerlines and (2) closer to Perryville Road.]
Other notable birds was a Barred Owl that stared me down, the tamest Eastern Towhee I’ve ever come across, and a handful of warblers: N. Waterthrush, Black-throated Green, Ovenbird, Common Yellowthroat.
On Sunday morning there were a lot of warblers at Rock Cut State Park including: Blue-winged, Yellow, Black-throated Green, Black-and-White, Tennessee, Nashville, Yellow-throated, Ovenbird, Common Yellowthroat. No Ceruleans yet and surprisingly no redstarts. Lots of FOY birds though and all around great time!!
