Tundra Swans at Nygren Wetlands

We noted that it is apparently “big white bird day” at Nygren. Thirteen Tundra Swans slept away the morning near the observation platform.

At 2:45 pm today, Carol and I visited Nygren and saw 13 Tundra Swans, 5 Whooping Cranes, 35-40 Sandhill Cranes and other assorted waterfowl. The rain was coming down rather steadily so we didn’t stay long.
