Today at noon I found a female Surf Scoter on Olson Lake at Rock Cut SP. It was in the northwest corner of the lake, most easily visible from the west end of the parking lot. There were a lot of DC Cormorants on the lake, too.
At and below the dam at Pierce Lake, Larry Balch and I found 13 species of warblers. We also had an empid, probably a Least Flycatcher, plus I heard a Least Flycatcher. A Yellow-throated Warbler was calling from the White Pines across the road from the bathrooms at the oak picnic area south of the dam.
