There is a Spotted Towhee at a residence in Ogle County. The bird has been hanging out in a barn for over a week now and possibly all winter.
The homeowners were very gracious to us and are welcoming other birders so long as they call ahead:

Still there this morning. The Friday’s were very welcoming and are glad to let people come and see the bird. Please be sure to call first. They will give you directions.

I spoke with Darrell Friday late this afternoon. The Towhee was seen on Friday, Feb. 6 but not today, Feb. 7, much to the disappointment of 8 birders who were there to look for it. My suspicion is that the moderate weather gives it room to roam out of the barn. Darrell did say that Ann Straight counted 9 redpolls at the feeders.

Darrell Friday says that the towhee has not been seen since February 6.
