		<description>Your photo does show the owl on the more rusty side, but the field guides do show Barred Owls with a lot of reddish brown, particularly on the wing coverts. Maybe the greater degree of red on this bird was the result of the lighting, or, alternately, the bird was still in fairly fresh plumage.</description>
