On Saturday, March 3, there was a Northern Shrike at Nachusa Grasslands. It was seen on Carthage Road, about 1/2 mile S of Stone Barn Road, in the Thelma Carpenter tract.

On Sunday, March 4, there was another Northern Shrike in Stephenson Co, just N of Freeport, along US 20, about 2 miles E of the exit for the Jane Addams Trail Head.
