Field Trip around NW part of county – 3-23-19

On the bird club field trip Sat. 47 species of birds were observed.  15 species of ducks, 2 species of geese, about 45 sandhill cranes, and 17 bald eagles.  It was a nice sun-shiny day with many birds.  Scott Hitchcock, Steve Schmaeng, Kevin Kaltenbach, Joyce and Jack Armstrong Enjoyed the early spring birding.  A large group of birds were found just west of Cleveland Road, along Telegraph Road near Pecatonica, and at Westlake Village.  With all of the water in the county, the birds can easily move to another area.
