Eurasian Collared-doves in Holcomb

Today, I counted 8 Eurasian Collared-doves perched in trees in the back yard of the white house that is immediately north of the grain elevator in Holcomb (Ogle Co.). This is a reliable location for this species. They have been there for at least 3 years and, I hope, will be seen on the Kishwaukee CBC on Saturday, December 22.

  1. There were 10 there the day before the Kishwaukee CBC, on 9 on count day. ECDs were also seen that day by the grain elevators at Route 72 and the RR tracks in Davis Junction.
